Operation Christmas Child Collection - January
Every year at RISE, we partner with the ministry Operation Christmas Child to collect items for shoeboxes that are sent around the world to children in need. To optimize our impact, we collect items throughout the year! There will be a different suggested donation item each month, but any donations will be gratefully accepted.
January’s suggested donation are WOW gifts. After Christmas sales are a great time to shop! Please remember, your donation needs to fit in a shoebox with other items!
Look for our new Operation Christmas Child collection bin by the front door.
RISE Work Day
Spring weather weather emerging calls for another RISE Work Day! Please mark your calendar for Saturday, May 16th from 10:45 AM to 2 PM.
We will have crews working outside to clean up the grounds and miscellaneous projects inside that need to be done. Please bring rakes, trimmers, gloves and anything else you have at home that may be used to get our work done.
It’ll be a great day to connect and take care of this beautiful property God has gifted us!
Baking Class
RISE, we have a fun opportunity coming up just for you! Kim Wagner will be hosting a baking class on June 13th at 10:00 AM in the RISE Kitchen, featuring her delicious cinnamon rolls.
This session is limited to 10 participants, so be sure to sign up soon. If you’d like to make an extra portion to take home, please bring a 9-inch round or square pan.
If the class fills up, don’t worry—we still encourage you to sign up, as additional sessions will be scheduled based on interest.
You can sign up on the sheet located outside the Welcome Center.
Operation Christmas Child Bake Sale
Join us on Sunday, May 10th for a bake sale supporting Operation Christmas Child.
Bake Sale Details
Date: Sunday, May 10th
Baked good drop-off: Beginning at 8:30 a.m. (we will gratefully accept donations at that time)
Sale time: After first service until 12:30 p.m. in fellowship hall
Donating Baked Goods
Bring any kind of baked item: individual servings, whole pies or cakes, cookies by the dozen, bars, breads, and more.
Package items however works best for you; we will display them for purchase the morning of the sale!
All proceeds will go toward sending Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes and sharing the love of Jesus with kids around the world!
